Constable George Ramsay, City of Glasgow Police Force, of 48 Buchanan Street, Glasgow, was awarded the Corporation of Glasgow Bravery Medal on 10 November 1970, ‘... for bravery in rescuing a child from drowning in the Forth and Clyde Canal on 20th Sept. 1970’.
