A fine quality officer’s unmarked tipstaff in gilt metal and lignum vitae by Parker Field & Sons London (17.8cm), together with a rare late Victorian shako/helmet badge being a die-stamped blackened brass crowned circular strap, ‘Be Just And Fear Not’ the centre with a pinned through white metal shield showing the Arms of the city, and nine white metal buttons showing the Arms shield and ‘Carlisle City Police’, very good overall condition (11)
