Four: Captain H. H. Brooke, Connaught Rangers, late Imperial Yeomanry, who was severely wounded on 2 November 1914 during the 1st Battle of Ypres and who died as a result his wounds on 19 February 1920

Captain Henry Hastings Brooke, 4th Battalion Connaught Rangers, was severely wounded in action during the 1st Battle of Ypres, 2 November 1914. He died of his wounds on 19 February 1920, aged 37 years. Major Brooke was buried in the Sandown-Shanklin Cemetery, Isle of Wight. He was the son of Frank Brooke and husband of Frances Mary Brooke (nee Bernard), of 28 Collingham Place, Earl’s Court, London.
