13th Century, A large comprehensive collection of English 13th-18th Century lead tokens, comprising of approximately 8,500 pieces, with over forty dated items, the majority found in England by metal detector enthusiasts, consisting of late Plantagenet and early Tudor issues recovered from the Thames foreshore and others from ploughed fields and PATHWAYS with owners labels giving details of find spots [Lot]. The collection is housed in sturdy plastic cabinets and loose on trays. The overall condition of the tokens is very varied, from poor to very fine (£1,000-1,500)
