Todd, a native of Braintree, Essex, was taken P.O.W. while serving as a Trooper in the R.A.C. in North Africa and originally held in Campo 85 in Italy, but subsequently at Stalag IV B at Mühlberg on the Elbe, in addition to Stalag IV D at Torgau.
