Paul R. Jowitt first entered the French theatre of war in March 1915, latterly served in Egypt, and was awarded his T.F.E.M. in AO 380 of October 1919. His subsequent service in the Royal Signals in the 1939-45 War would appear to be confirmed by the use of the same home address in accompanying documentation.

Sold with a small quantity of original documentation and ephemera, the latter including Great War period maps and Bethune souvenir handkerchief.
