Albert Lupton was born, lived and enlisted at Blackpool, Lancashire. Serving with the 14th (King’s) Hussars, he was killed in action, Mesopotamia, on 21 September 1918, aged 25 years. His name is commemorated on the Tehran Memorial. He was the son of Mary Ann Lupton of 8 Fairhurst Street, Blackpool.
