John Joseph T. Henderson died on active service on 22 July 1944, while serving with the 7th Royal Tank Regiment (R.A.C.). The son of George and Edith Henderson of Heaton, Newcastle, he was 36 years of age and is buried in Ryes War Cemetery, Bazenville, France; Bar to his award unconfirmed.
