Private F. Steers, 13th Hussars, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 11 November 1914. He later served with the 8th Hussars. With copied m.i.c. Private Alfred Kingston, King’s Royal Rifle Corps, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 22 August 1914 and was entitled to the 1914 Star and clasp. Serving with the 1st Battalion K.R.R.C., he was killed in action on 16 September 1914, aged 25 years. He was buried in the Vailly British Cemetery. He was the son of Mrs C. Kingston of Islington, London. With copied m.i.c.
