Sergeant Alfred William Henry Rapley, 3rd Divisional Cyclist Battalion, embarked from Sydney on 18 May 1916 aboard H.M.A.T. Demosthenes. Serving with the 11th Battalion, he died of disease on 12 November 1916. He was buried in the Etaples Military Cemetery.
