Private John Ward, 1st Battalion Canadian Infantry (Western Ontario Regiment, was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 22 April 1915, aged 21 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial. He was the son of Mrs A. J. Ward, of 51 Park Road, St. James End, Northampton.
