Archibald Samuel Henry Bastard was born on 20 May 1904 in the Parish of Antony, Torpoint, Cornwall. He joined the Metropolitan Police on 3 May 1926 and served mainly with ‘Z’ Croydon Division. Constable Bastard was still serving in 1953 and was awarded the Coronation Medal. In his retirement he returned to Cornwall and died in 1978. With copied research.
