The Spink Coin Auction catalogues followed a conventionally numbered sequence from 1 to 98; the last three catalogues issued in 1993 after Christie’s takeover of the company carried no Spink numerical imprint, but the sequence resumed in 1994 with some later omissions and aberrations.
