West Essex Militia, a very scarce officer’s HM silver (Birmingham, date letter blurred) glengarry or forage cap badge, c1856-1881, a QVC over unit title strap and the County shield within, original loops missing, two crudely soldered replacement copper loops, otherwise very good condition; together with the two part other ranks ‘scroll’ hat badge to the same unit, c1855-1874, in white metal, a strung bugle horn over a separate scroll ‘WEST ESSEX’, very good condition (3) £150-200
