44th East Essex Regiment, a group of six badges, comprising a very fine facing pair of copper gilt Sphinx/Egypt collar badges (tails raised), c1880-1881, and a similar Sphinx/Egypt over ‘44’, this possibly the officer’s glengarry badge c1874-1881, the latter with one loop crudely replaced; together with a three part brass other ranks badge, a separate QVC, over a large Sphinx/Egypt badge, and small brass conjoined numerals ‘44’, all three items with two loop fasteners, generally good condition (6) £80-100
