Private D. McCarthy was taken prisoner of war at Etreux and held in Switzerland.
Private Charles Walter McCarthy was wounded in action, sustaining shrapnel wounds to his right thigh and chest at Tobruk on 22 May 1941. Sold with eight pages of copied service papers.
