Private Harry Armstrong Eddowes was born and lived at Rock Ferry. He was killed in action France and Flanders 15 April 1918 whilst serving with the Machine Gun Corps (Infantry). His name is commemorated on the Ploegsteert Memorial, Belgium.

Private A. W. Bayliss died on 25 November 1919 whilst serving with the Motor Transport Company, Royal Army Service Corps. He is buried at Hasland Cemetery, Derbyshire.
