Northumberland, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Spence’s mule Farthings (4), man in barge sailing left, revs. man on bull with ass’s head, edge plain, 4.05g/5h (DH 29a); Britannia seated, edge plain, 3.99g/6h (DH 30a); conjoined heads of man and ass, 3.94g/12h (DH 31; Bell, PC p.259, this piece); pig, 3.50g/6h (DH 32) [4]. DH 31 extremely fine, obverse with a hint of original colour, others very fine and better, last with bright appearance £200-250
