Northumberland, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Spence’s mule Farthing, sailor, rev. anchor and cable, edge plain, 3.56g/12h (DH 35; Bell, ST p.132, this piece). Light obverse die flaws, otherwise extremely fine, the reverse with practically full original colour, very rare and a significant link in understanding the Spence/Skidmore ‘chain’ £200-250
