Warwickshire, Stratford-upon-Avon, Skidmore’s Halfpenny, bust of William Shakespeare left, rev. struck in honor and to perpetuate the memory of shakespeare born april 1564 died april 1616, edge grained, 14.44g/6h (DH 320a; Ogden, BNJ 1910, p.192 and pl.). Spot in field either side, otherwise extremely fine with a hint of original colour, rare £70-90
