Thomas Westland Greene was born in Fermagh, Co. Carlow. A Gentleman and Civil Engineer, he attested for the Imperial Yeomanry at Newbridge on 8 January 1900. With the 45th (Irish Hunt) Company 13th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry he served in South Africa, 13 March 1900-9 April 1901. He was wounded and taken prisoner at Lindley, 31 May 1900. He was discharged at Shornecliff at his own request on 9 May 1901. With copied service notes.
