Guadeloupe, Société Philomathique de Bordeaux, XIIe Exposition Générale, a silver award medal by A. Massonnet, crowned shield of arms with vine and oak supporters, rev. wreath, named (Décernée à Louis Rollin, La Guadeloupe, 1882), 67mm. Some discolouration, otherwise extremely fine £200-250

The St. Barthélémy region of Guadeloupe still produces some excellent wines. The recipient is believed to have been Louis-Adolphe Rollin (1836-1909)
