The King’s Own Scottish Borderers, 2nd (Berwickshire) Volunteer Battalion, a fine and rare officer’s QVC star pattern helmet plate c1887-1901, all silver plate, format similar to that of the regular battalions for the period but with an additional scroll to the centre of the overlay, ‘2nd VOLUNTEER BATTLN’ (Bloomer p31/32), excellent condition~ £250-300
