Harry Joliffe was born on 13 October 1918. A Motor Driver by occupation, he enlisted at Formby on 16 October 1939. Served in North Africa and Italy. Discharged as a Gunner in the 253/64 Field Regiment R.F.A. on 19 December 1945. With Soldier’s Service and Paybook and Soldier’s Release Book.

954 Driver Surmi, 21st Mule Corps, died/was killed on 4 March 1918. His name is commemorated in the Ismailia War Memorial Cemetery.
