France, Exposition Internationale des Beaux-Arts et de l’Industrie, London, 1871, a bronze medal after R. Gayrard for the Ministère de l’Agriculture et du Commerce, seated figure of La France with wreaths, reverse legends within and around wreath, 51mm (cf. DNW 37, 1216 [dated 1874]). A trifle spotty, otherwise extremely fine and patinated; in contemporary fitted case (£25-35)
