1914-15 Star (2141 Pte., R.A.M.C.); British War and Victory Medals (2141 A. Cpl., R.A.M.C.); St. John Service Medal, silver (22152 D. Supt. C. Gray, No. 5 Dis. S.J.A.B. 1938); London, Midland & Scottish Railway Ambulance L.S. Medal, English Division, 26mm., 9ct. gold, hallmarks for Birmingham 1926, reverse inscribed, ‘C. Gray 1926’, with two bars, 20 Years, 25 Years 1935, these in 9ct. gold, hallmarks for Birmingham 1930 and 1934, ref. Tozer p.65/66; London & North Western Railway St. John Ambulance Association First Aid Examination Medal, English Division, 28mm., silver and enamel, reverse inscribed (name engraved) ‘Awarded to Clark Gray for passing 12 examinations in First Aid’, ref. Private Clark Gray, R.A.M.C. entered a theatre of war on 20 August 1914; his copied m.i.c. shows his first overseas service was on Hospital Ships. He was discharged to Class ‘B’ Reserve on 23 April 1919.
