Sister Frances Mary was an Anglican Nun serving at St. Michael’s Home, Bloemfontein. She was one of some 67 nuns of various denominations who served during the war in a number of convents, homes or civil hospitals. On the roll she is recorded as one of eight Sisters listed for the Bloemfontein establishment. She was mentioned in despatches by Lord Roberts on 2 April 1901. With copied roll extract.
