American Revolutionary War and Later Pewter Buttons. Comprising an officer's large tinned pewter with wooden back to the 2nd Connecticut Regiment c1781 (25mm). The 'double dolphin' type with central '2'. Troiani (Military Buttons of the American Revolution) p109 A2CRa (complete with gut fastening). '?I' an unidentified 19mm example, the obverse shows part of a script capital letter and script capital 'I', complete with integral shank. Royal Provincial c180-1783 16.5mm, large St. Edward's crown over 'RP', Troiani LRPk p77/78 (original shank missing and part replaced with a clay? and brass base. 1st American (Queen's Rangers) 1791-1802 16mm St. Edward's crown over '1st A' within laurel sprays, around the base 'Queen's Rangers'  Troiani LQRd p78/79 (original shank missing and replaced with a clay? and brass base. 60th (Royal Americans) a good relic c1770-75 now 17mm '60' within what would have been a 'pie-crust' edge, Troiani B60b p63 remains of the original shank base. 10th Regiment of Foot (later 10th North Lincoln Regiment) c1770-75 18mm central '10' Troiani B10d p26.(original shank  issing and replaced with a clay? and brass base. 70th (Surry) Regiment c1782-1800 16mm central '70' with laurel sprays below and 'Surry' above (Parkyn Fig 269) remains of original shank base. 41st (Regiment of Invalids) c1780 three 11mm spatterdash examples, slightly convex and with central '41', two with original integral shanks. 41st Regiment of Foot c1800 a 15mm example '41' within an eight-pointed star (Parkyn Fig. 340) remains of original shank base, good overall facial condition (11) £250-350
