Alexander Scott Hill was born in and enlisted at Bangor. Serving with the 1st Battalion Royal Lancaster Regiment, he was killed in action on 18 April 1918, aged 19 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Loos Memorial. He was the son of Alexander Scott Hill and Margaret Hill of Brynmair, Bangor, Carnarvon.
