M.S.M. London Gazette 28 October 1920: ‘In recognition of valuable services rendered with the British Military Mission, South Russia.’

The recommendation states: ‘This N.C.O. has shown tact and discretion in dealing with the sick and injured at all times. His untiring energy, kindness and devotion to duty have inspired all who have worked with and under him.’
