India General Service 1895-1902, 3 clasps, Relief of Chitral 1895, Punjab Frontier 1897-98, Tirah 1897-98 (4678 Pte., 1st Bn. Gord. Highrs.) erasure and correction to initial ‘F’, last two clasps loose on ribbon; Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 5 clasps, Cape Colony, Paardeberg, Driefontein, Johannesburg, Belfast (4678 Drmr., Gordon Highrs.); King’s South Africa 1901-02, 2 clasps (4678 Dmr., Gordon Highrs.) some edge bruising and contact marks, very fine (3) £350-400

Frank Drew was born in Hackney, Middlesex. A Musician by occupation and a member of the 1st Volunteer Battalion Royal West Surrey Regiment, he attested for the Gordon Highlanders at London on 4 October 1892, aged 18 years, 4 month. He was appointed a Drummer on 19 November 1897. With the 1st Battalion he served in India, February 1895-October 1898; Egypt, October-December 1898; and South Africa, November 1899-August 1902. He was discharged having completed his period of service on 3 October 1904, With copied service papers and roll extracts. All clasps confirmed.
