British War and Victory Medals (Capt.); Memorial Plaque (William Percival Vint) extremely fine (3) £200-250

William Percival Vint was born on 1 October 1884, the son of William and Eleanor Vint of Belfast. He was educated at Bedford School and was employed for 9 years in the Nitrate Works, Chile. He attested for the Territorial Force - Inns of Court O.T.C. on 15 April 1915, at the time living at 14 Rectory Grove, Wandsworth Road, Clapham. He was discharged to a commission in June 1915 and entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 26 January 1916. Attaining the rank of Captiain, he was killed in action when serving with the 6th Battalion Machine Gun Corps on 5 August 1918. He was buried in Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Poperinghe, Belgium.

With copied service papers, m.i.c. and C.W.G.C. extract - the latter records that Vint was recommended twice for the Albert Medal. Also with named card medal boxes of issue, with forwarding slip; paper and card envelope for the plaque, with slip, together with the registered envelope addressed to his mother; cloth blazer badge; M.G.C. cap badge; and named identity bracelet.
