£700-900
William Whitlock was born near Salisbury, Wiltshire. A Labourer by occupation, he enlisted in London for a bounty of £4 on 24 November 1824, aged 20 years. Serving with the 2nd Foot, he dislocated his arm in 1834. He was wounded in the same arm at the storming of Ghuznee, 23 July 1839. His wound aggravating his earlier infirmity made him unfit for further service and he was discharged as unfit on 1 November 1840. With a number of copied service papers.
