R.S.P.C.A. Life Saving Medal, silver (Awarded to Midshipman Sydney T. Warr-Buckley, R.N. April 1917) hallmarks for London 1909, complete with ‘For Humanity’ brooch bar, extremely fine £200-250
Sydney Thomas Warr-Buckley first appears in the published Navy Lists as a Midshipman, appointed 14 February 1917. At this time he was serving on the battleship H.M.S. Emperor of India.
He was awarded the R.S.R.C.A. Life Saving Medal ‘for saving the ship’s bulldog pup from the sea.’ With some copied research.
