Lewis Oswald Lindsay served as a Surgeon Probationer on H.M.S. Octavia. Completing his training at the London Hospital, he became a M.R.C.S. Eng., L.R.C.P. Lond. in 1923 and graduated as a M.B., B.S. Lond. in 1926. After serving as a House Surgeon at the London Hospital he went on to be a Surgeon at the Tavistock Hospital.
