Ernest John Peach was born in Warwick and enlisted at Birmingham. Serving with the 2nd Battalion Coldstream Guards, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 16 September 1916. He was buried in the Guards’ Cemetery, Lesboeufs.

With two identity discs; the original forwarding slip for the 1914-15 Star, addressed to ‘Mrs C. F. Peach, 5 Elsie Place, Bright St., Aston’, with modern photos of his gravestone and copied casualty details.
