Henry Morton Vellenoweth was born on 14 January 1917, the son of Henry and Amy Teague Vellenoweth of Clifton Hill, Victoria, Australia. He enlisted into the R.A.A.F. at Clifton Hill on 30 January 1942. Serving as a Flight Sergeant (Wireless Operator/Air Gunner) with No. 467 Squadron R.A.A.F., he was killed in action on 6 January 1944 when serving on board Lancaster bomber ED994 in an attack on Stettin, Poland. The remains of the aircraft were found north of Stettin, only one crew member survived. The six killed members of the crew were buried in Poznan Old Garrison Cemetery, Poland. With copied research.
