Major Ronald Madoc Tierney Rose was killed in action in German East Africa on 18 September 1916 whilst serving with the York and Lancaster Regiment, attached to the 2/3rd King’s African Rifles. He was Mentioned in Despatches and is buried at Morogoro Cemetery, East Africa.
