France, Agriculture, or Travaux des Champs, 1904, a silver gilt plaque by M.-A.-L. Coudray, peasant driving bullocks pulling a plough, being urged on by a boy, setting sun in background, reverse farmworker with scythe in a field of wheat, named (Offerte par M. Marcel Rauline, Député), 100 x 62mm (PBE 280; CGMP p.103; BM Acq. 1983-7, p.18, 33; cf. DNW 40, 759); together with Centenary of the Société d’Agriculture et d’Industrie de l’Arrondissement de Tonnerre, 1902, a bronze medal, unsigned, symbols of agriculture both sides, 61mm; La Moisson de Blé, c.1910, a gilt bronze plaque, unsigned, for Arthus-Bertrand, triptych of men sowing and harvesting, head of Ceres on central panel, reverse harvesting scene, 70 x 49mm [3]. About very fine and better; second with clip and ring suspension (£40-50)
