One of only 12 officers and men of the 1st Dragoon Guards entitled to the clasp ‘Hazara 1888’. Recipient also entitled to the South Africa Medal 1877-79 with clasp ‘1879’. One of only two men of the regiment (Buckland and an officer) entitled to the two clasps.
