William Henry Rivers was born in Emscote, Warwick and enlisted at Warwick. Serving with the 2nd Battalion Hampshire Regiment, he was killed in action on 12 April 1918, aged 19 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ploegsteert Memorial. Private Rivers was the son of Mr & Mrs W. Rivers, of 220 Emscote Road, Warwick.
