Thomas Kealey (spelled variously as Keily, Keeley, Kealy, Keally and Kelly) was born at Pulgrave, Suffolk, and attested at Beccles on 14 February 1809, aged 21 years. He served in the Peninsula with the 1st Battalion from 14 July 1811. He served in No. 7 Company at Waterloo, where he was wounded in action. He was discharged on 24 September 1816, and admitted to an out-pension of 6d per diem on 2 July 1816. He was resident at Newcastle and died on 20 April 1856.
