Benjamin Russell was born at Leeds, Yorkshire, and attested there for the 82nd Foot on 7 April 1809, aged 17, for unlimited service. He was discharged in about October 1816, in consequence of disbandment of the regiment and ‘wounded right leg in France’.
Sold with copied muster rolls and Chelsea Hospital ‘Examination’ papers.
