Christopher Frank Copeland was born and lived in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk and enlisted at Norwich. Serving with the 2nd Battalion Scottish Rifles, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 5 November 1914. He was killed in action on 21 November 1914, aged 21 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial. He was the son of Walter James and Emily Copeland, of 18 Out Risbygate, Bury St. Edmunds.
