M.M. London Gazette 16 July 1918.
Charles William Bullimore, who was born in North Walsham, Norfolk, in 1893, was a pre-hostilities regular soldier, and first entered the French theatre of war with the 1st Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment, in mid-August 1914. A lucky man to survive the opening months of the conflict, when his unit suffered horrendous casualties, he went on to win the M.M. and died back in his home town in 1959, aged 65 years.
