Charles I (1625-1649), Oxford mint, Half-Pound, 1642, mm. plume (with bands) on obv. only, group of 7 pellets on rev., 59.46g/2h (Morr. A-2; SCBI Brooker 868, same dies; N 2404; S 2945). Small metal flaw above 4 of date, otherwise better than very fine and attractively toned, rare £3,500-4,000
