Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 4 clasps, Belmont, Modder River, Wittebergen, Transvaal (2946 Pte. H. Andrews, 2 Yorks. Lt. Infy.) official correction to initial, unofficial connection to last clasp, very fine £80-100

Henry Andrews was born in Sheffield. A File Cutter by occupation and a member of the 3rd Battalion Yorkshire Light Infantry (Militia), he attested for regular service at Pontefract in June 1889, aged 20 years, 2 months. With the Yorkshire Light Infantry he served in India, September 1892-February 1899; Mauritius, February-October 1899, and South Africa, October 1899-May 1902. He was discharged having completed his service on 31 May 1902. With copied service papers and roll extracts - the latter confirming all the above clasps and entitlement of the King’s medal with two clasps.
