Three: Lieutenant W. R. Boulton, Royal Navy, the Crimea personally presented by Queen Victoria in St. James’s Park, 18 May 1855

Baltic 1854-55, unnamed, with replacement swivel ring suspension; Crimea 1854-56, 1 clasp, Sebastopol (Presented by Queen Victoria to Lieut. W. R. Boulton in St. James Park, Friday 18 May 1855), engraved naming, replacement and detachable suspension rod, clasp carriage with additional suspension fitting; Turkish Crimea 1855, British issue, unnamed, fitted with swivel ring suspension, first two with some edge bruising and contact marks, nearly very fine and better (3)

Lieutenant William Raymond Boulton, R.N., served aboard the Bellerophon. Confirmed as being entitled to the above and to have been awarded his Crimea Medal by the Queen (Presented by the Queen, by Mitchell & Duckers refers, a copy of which is included with the lot).

Sold with an original copy of The Illustrated London News, Saturday, May 26th, 1855, which features and illustrates the distribution of Crimea Medals by Queen Victoria at Horse Guards on 18 May 1855.
