M.S.M. London Gazette 22 February 1919. ‘For valuable services in connection with war hospitals and accommodations of troops in India.’
Frederick Arthur Lowther Poole enlisted into the Royal Engineers in January 1902, at which time his profession was shown as ‘artist & photographer’. He served continuously in various capacities until his retirement in 1935 at which time he held the rank of Lieutenant. Sold with a quantity of copied research, including his ‘Confidential Report’ for 1928 which states ‘In my opinion he is the best Barrack Master in the [Peshawar] District’.
