Richard Harry Morris was born in Lincoln on 9 June 1979. A Factory Worker by occupation, he enlisted into the Royal Marines in February 1999. Served with 42 Commando R.M., May 2000-July 2001, being deployed to Sierra Leone as part of the Amphibious Ready Group. Later served in Northern Ireland and in the Iraq War with the same Commando, October 2001-September 2003.

Training Centre Coaching Level 3 Course Certificate, March 2009 - these and others with a number of photographs of the recipient - in one, in a 43 x 35cm wooden frame, he is seen as Coxswain of a RIB with Daniel Craig on board (holding on tightly), taken during a publicity event along the Thames when Craig was announced as the new James Bond in 2005. At the press conference following, Craig said, ‘I’d like to thank the Royal Marines for bringing me in like that, and scaring the .... out of me.’ Also with D.V.D. of his passing out parade. With two metal and three cloth badges.
